*Trixie hurries into the textiles room, which consists of pale aqua walls, and around 20 sewing machines which seem to all be of the same brand, and a wall-length cupboard which must have contained the rest of the sewing equipment. she strides over to a door of the cupboard, takes out some scissors, rope, curtain fabric, thread, pins and some other things and chooses a machine. trixie knows that the lack of electricity means that the sewing machine has to be wound by hand with the circular knob on the side of the sewing machine. Within a few minutes she makes what she wants, and once she fits the steel rings to it she runs it up to her room and hangs it - what, exwactly, is a hammock.*
